Oh, how does one fill this in without it sounding as if one is blowing one's own trumpet?
I'm reasonably open minded & easy going - except when others are incompetent, lazy, deceitful, hypocritical - OK, perhaps I'm not easy going!
Most will say I'm young & fit for my age. Over the years I've been into rock climbing & mountaineering, skiing (down hill, Nordic & ski-mountaineering), fell running, long distance walking/hiking. These days I run a little, walk & hike. I've sailed both here & abroad (cruising & racing). Swimming is a must every week & most mornings I train on a rowing machine. So there you have it.
I've been lucky enough to have lived & worked abroad and have travelled widely.
My tastes in arts & culture are eclectic. I like film, opera, classical music (obviously!) though also some good pop, ballet, pure art, architecture. Interests also include; geology, ancient civilisations & religions (though I'm not religious) philosophy & a bit of gardening.
I'm reasonably 'house trained', but am a man, so don't expect too much! Whereas I can cook, I'm not a chef & prefer using a slow cooker. On the plus side I'm fairly handy at making & fixing things if I have to.
Recently, I've bought a bungalow with a fairly large garden in rural Northumberland & am in the process of giving both a fairly major make over - solar panels & wood burner now installed.
Job-wise; I qualified as a civil engineer, have been a professional photographer and ran my own picture library, and now I am writing books.
Have a Saab soft-top, but stiill can't make up my mind whether to buy another campervan.

A beautiful, warm, caring, practical, active, physical and passionate woman who is fairly fit & healthy, enjoys the arts, travel, hiking, the outdoors. Having said that, just a bit of opposites might not be a bad thing - Yin and Yang - and good for both of us.
