Single senior lady who enjoys life, and enjoys the company of others.
I love traveling. Didn't have a passport until I was 50, but I've made up for lost time. I worked in Paris, France for a year. In 2001 I was in Munich for Oktoberfest. I went to Thailand and Peru and took a couple of road trips in 2010. Haven't quite decided yet what next year will bring. I believe today is the most important thing we have. I know how lucky we all are to be here. I relax, but I don't waste time. It's too valuable a commodity.
2013 additional info - my real hair color is brown again - not natural - but real. And since my first profile information - I've been to South Africa (my favorite), and a few other countries. But I'm going to stay in the US for a while, and host international students. I recently had a young woman from Japan and another from Guadalupe staying with me. My next student will be a girl from Russia. The world's cultures are coming to me ;-)
Family is very important to me, and I have sisters, son & his family and elderly father-in-law here in the St. Pete area. I love to cook, and prepare foods not only for myself or company, but even for my sister's freezer.
My reading is sporadic. Love (some of) Stephen King, (some of) John Grisham, classics - Maybe I shouldn't admit it, but I loved the Hunger Games - all 3. John Irving is another favorite author. Should I be ashamed to say I also like glancing through things like the Enquirer? But I just do the word puzzles. ;-)
I'm looking to begin with good conversation (as long as it's not politics or debating religions) and good company. I'd like someone to spend time with - out doing errands, or watching TV, or going to happy hour with friends or family functions. If we put our heads together maybe we can solve the world's problems, or at least share some laughs. I'm in no hurry. I don't think taking things a step at a time is a waste of time.
