I Would Describe Myself As

I am an active 72 year old man who likes to go places and do things. I love concerts, plays, traveling, nice dinners, lectures, movies, live shows (like Branson), and just about anything else that two people can enjoy together. The operative term in that last sentence is "two" people. I dislike doing most of those things alone. I would like to find someone who would like to be a companion in those activities. I don't smoke and rarely drink. I'm a born again christian and enjoy church programs and special music.

I turn into Santa Claus about October each year and begin collecting toys and getting them wrapped and organized and ready for delivery. I get the toys from churchs and friends and take them up to schools in the delta (northwest Mississippi). There at as many schools as I can I have every child from headstart through 3rd grade sit on my lap and tell me what they want for Christmas. Then I give them a wrapped gift and get their picture. I average a school a day for four days of the last week of school before Christmas. This generally means between 600 and 700 children sit on my lap. I have helpers that take the pictures, hand me the correct gift for me to give to the child and generally handle traffic control. They also help with the collecting of toys and wrapping them.

I've been playing Santa since I played the part of Kris Kringle in Meridian Little Theatre's presentation of "Miricle on 34th St" in 1998. I fell in love with the part and have been doing it every year since then. I plan to continue doing it as long as the Lord lets me to do so.

That's basic me. A complete autobiography would be a little bit too long and probably put everyone to sleep. But I can be an interesting person and you might just want to take a chance on me for a date or two, or three, or ...
