Grundlæggende oplysninger
Jeg beskriver mig selv som
Yale-educated former cheerleader. Petite, fit, creative, artistic, warm and outgoing. Stylish, but down to earth. I'm 58 and don't mind in the least though I'm always told that I look much younger. I've been blessed with a good sense of humor and laugh easily and often (essential in order to get through the day sometimes). Though I live a full life balanced reasonably well among work, friends and play, I miss having a lover and friend whose presence would enrich these experiences and lead me to new ones. I found someone special online once before so I know it's possible and I hope to do it again because the spirit wants, the heart craves and the body needs.
If you're fit (not overweight, please), have most of your hair, are between 54 and 62 years old (please be honest about your age; I am), and between 5'8" and 6' tall, I hope you'll read on. If your marital status is "separated" or you're a "player"(you know who you are out there), please pass me by. If you're a smoker, please pass me by. Though I enjoy romance, caution and common sense prevail so I prefer to take it slow physically rather than to rush into things. If that doesn't work for you, again, please pass me by.
You're likely to be a professional and desire some independence yet realize life can be more complete and satisfying when shared with the right person. You must be intelligent, worldly, take pride in your appearance, a good communicator, trim, athletic, affectionate, warm, self-confident, patient and a good listener. Too much to ask? I hope not. Please be a man interested in the arts and someone who likes to travel. Someone who's thankful to be alive, is reasonably evolved, enjoys his work (most of the time) and his downtime. At this point in your life, you should know what's important and what's not. Money is important, but it doesn't guarantee happiness. You should know - as do I - not to run, hide or go deaf and dumb when come the dreaded words, "we have to talk...", which at some point they might. You should understand that fidelity, loyalty and trust cement relationships.
At 58, I'm reasonably confident that most of my stupidest mistakes are behind me. I’m looking for someone to share a vibrant city life and grow old yet stay young with. I know what works best for me are shared core values and attitudes, sufficient goals and interests in common, an ability to expand each other's worlds (via our differences) and a partner with a terrific sense of humor. I live an examined life and the same in a partner is essential to me.
I'm passionate about art and I love good theater and film (usually independent, foreign or documentaries). I'm a PBS fan and I listen to a lot of NPR from the serious to the not-so-serious (Who knew that talking about car repair could be as much fun as the Car Talk guys make it?). I'm interested in current events (though appalled by much of what I see and hear) and fascinated by history past and present.
I bicycle, run and walk to stay in shape and to stay healthy. I'm an avid, experienced and curious traveler. Though travel can be very enjoyable when shared and the idea of future adventures with the right person is appealing, being on my own has never stopped me from experiencing the wonders of the world in places near or far.
I love this great city that I live in with its wonderful museums and cultural opportunities, its abundance of dining pleasures large and small, and its endless opportunities for people watching and for the unexpected to occur. Though I'm definitely a city girl, I know how to kick back and enjoy the slower pace of the country when I'm there, and I've yet to come across a beach that I didn't like (though I could live without the sand in the bathing suit part).
If you're still reading this and it somehow resonates, I hope to hear from you.
