I'm quite a nice, kind person who values her friends and family. I am a country girl at heart, never having lived right in a town. I have a house (bank still owns about half of it!), a little car and a friendly little jack Russell. I used to keep horses but gave up when I retired - too damned expensive. It was a tough decision.In the future, I hope to be able to buy a small property of some sort in Spain, perhaps, and spend the winters of my twilight years somewhere warm!

I like reading, music (Stones, Queen and others plus light classics.

I'm tall and well covered but I'm working hard to lose the extra pounds and doing quite well. A bit of encouragement would help!

My Idea Of Fun Is

I like to meet friends and eat out. I do enjoy a good party and also country fairs/sports etc I habe recently taken to travelling a bit. My recent visits have been to Spain, Italy, Norway, Austria, Germany.

I occasionally go to concerts and the theatre.

I like to drive. I used to ride horses a great deal but had to give up - I'd really like to do that again before the old bones seize up! I also like walking the dog.

I like a well presented (not necessarily booted and suite, jeans are fine!) clean men with a terrific sense of humour. A thoughtful person is always attractive. I'm so sorry, hirsute chaps, but I do not like beards. I'm hoping that I might find a man who wants a companion and friend. I've been well aqnd truly single for a long time and it's a bit like starting from scratch so he has to be kind and understanding and not in a rush to further the friendship.
