Well, here we are, single at this stage of our lives. Most of our friends are married and sitting in a bar looking for a pickup is just not our thing. So we are on a website all looking for a friend or companion.

Getting older has a lot of drawbacks. Why is it, younger people think we should be at home watching TV. It's time to have fun and enjoy the rest of our lives. I look good for my age, just don't look 35 anymore, but still act young. We all have that 'wishful thinking' syndrome.

Now on to other things - I don’t mind being single and do go out by myself to eat, take a walk around a theme park or go to the beach. But, as you know, most activities are more enjoyable if a friend is along. I like the theme parks (Disney season pass holder), dining out, concerts and other various events. I have also been known to go to a baseball or basketball game and deep sea fishing. I don’t play golf or tennis, won’t go camping and am not the least bit interested in football or motorcycles. Daughter is an EMT with too many stories about bike vs. vehicle.

I am not searching for a husband, but a friend would be great. If being friends turned into something more, that would be wonderful. I believe that friendship should come before any serious relationship. Looking for someone honest, easy to talk to, someone who is active, average height or above, weight appropriate and, most of all, a gentleman. I know I am asking for a lot, but I am hopeful. Since I would like a friend to share and enjoy time with, go to dinner occasionally, the theme parks or whatever hits our fancy, a long distance relationship probably would not work.
