I grew up in Santa Barbara in Southern California and raised my family there. I am loving, spiritual, open minded and some would say maybe even a little eccentric. I love an intelligent woman who can converse in a good day to day conversation, but also loves a good heated philosophical discussion too, even if there are no real winners! I tend to find passion in anything or anyone I really put my attention towards. If it's worth doing at all it is worth doing right! I am a simple, casual, no nonsense, what you see is what you get kind of guy. I make no apologies for who or what I am! I have been alone for the past almost 20 years and am comfortable with it, but I am at a point in my life where I wouldn't mind having someone else in my corner again. I am a true romantic and would like the same in return. I have had as many as 15 dogs all at one time and find dogs the truest sense of what we should all aspire to... loyalty, unconditional love and telling it like it is! They have been my best friends and I cannot see my life without them in it! I am more than capable at anything I do. I like and appreciate the simple things in life and although I still wish to leave my mark on this world, personal possessions and being "king of the hill" do not mean what they once did. I love to laugh and have a somewhat quirky sarcastic sense of humor. I am spontaneous and often find myself being "stupid" because it feels good! A good match would be someone with a similar sense of humor. After all, laughter heals the soul. Did I say I love to laugh? I am interested in how technology works and am a self-made inventor and better mousetrap builder. I am always looking to creating a better world and give back. I am fascinated by nature and the beauty this world has to offer if you only stop and take the time to smell the roses.
