I Would Describe Myself As

I would like very much to hear from someone who enjoys conversing intelligently, has a genuine and sophisticated sense of humor, is open and tolerant of other people and ideas, has a laid back approach to life and people, has a bit of a sense of adventure, enjoys being alive and is willing to let things happen at their own pace. I do not mean I would like to meet someone who thinks of himself this way or wants to be this way. I want to meet someone who really is this way. Please, be honest with yourself and me.

I am not perfect, and I'm not looking for someone who is perfect. I enjoy spontaneity---going, doing, exploring, but just relaxing and enjoying life around me is great. I can, however, kick up my heels a little. I love old movies, music, reading, cooking (I am a good cook), football, good conversation, fishing, I do a little drawing and am into genealogy. I have been a commercial and residential interior designer. I had my own catering business, and I've written a few novels. I've lived all over the South, from Texas to the Atlantic coast. I enjoy entertaining family and friends and having parties on occasion. Also, I do love to laugh and try to find something to laugh about every day, even if it's at myself. I was raised in the south and raised to be a lady. This does not make me a snob nor pretentious, just gracious. I was raised to live anywhere in the world and to be comfortable in any circumstance. I am not a person who is constantly on the go, but there are times when going and doing stuff is fun. I love the water, and, of course, my North GA Mountains---and others.

I have some wrinkles; I have a few extra pounds---but working to lose them. I have no major health issues. I do have idiosyncrasies, quirks, faults and problems just like everyone else. I am not going to pretend they aren't there, nor am I going to pretend that life is all about "walking on the beach", "hiking in the mountains" or "sitting in front of the fire sipping wine". I'm not going to tell you that I still have the stamina to go on major camping trips, climb mountains, etc. Although, I have enough stamina to go places and do things and enjoy life, but as myself, realistically. I am a very emotional, passionate and compassionate woman (I get lumps in my throat and teary eyes over all sort of things.), and I'm looking for someone to enjoy the rest of my life. A real relationship is built not only on honesty and trust and communication, but also on reality---seeing and dealing with ourselves as we really are and with life as it really is. So, if you're looking for someone who is real, will be there for you, help you and understand you; someone who loves life and wants to enjoy it with you, maybe we should talk.
