First I must admit, I do not like this whole dating scene. I’m not interested in playing games, nor carving a few notches on my gun, so to speak. I’m looking for one very special woman to love, cherish and spend the rest of my life with. When I started this search, I didn’t realize how difficult the journey would be. I would like to meet my best friend and life companion. And I want to experience my last “first kiss”. The truth is; A man chases a woman until she catches him. I can’t run very fast!

I am an incurable romantic who enjoys showing my love openly and honestly. I believe that the “little things” we do for each other and the “little ways” we say I love you every day, is what keeps love alive and fresh. I like to write romantic poetry to express what is in my heart. I don’t wear a heavy coat of armor to protect my heart. I love very deeply and honestly, and I experience the pain of heartbreak the same way.

I love to photograph mountain lakes, waterfalls, sunsets, wildlife, wildflowers, and old buildings. I like to explore old ghost towns with my metal detector and camera. I love gardening, yard work and flowers. I love to cook and develop my own recipes, and I like to create exciting romantic dishes, served with candle light and roses. And yes I do clean up the kitchen as I am cooking. I am also in the process of compiling a couple of cookbooks. I love camping, fishing, and walking mountain trails hand in hand with my special woman. I enjoy a sunset in a romantic setting, and cuddling up to watch a romantic comedy. I like to watch sports sometimes, especially the Broncos.

I would love to meet someone who is not afraid to love, express her love honestly and openly, and commit her life to making a loving relationship work. A sense of humor, and a kind heart are a must, since I am far from perfect! A woman who is as romantic as I am, and loves to express her love would be the icing on the cake. I’m not looking for some perfect, fairytale woman, but I am looking for a love that will last “happily ever after”. Above all I believe in being total honest, loving, kind, caring and understanding. Although I really try to plan many of the things in my life, what to do on a first date, is a hard one to describe without knowing anything about the person I would be dating. I would try to find out what interests we share, and go from there.

Now don't laugh. I love music, and I would like to take voice lessons so I could sing romantic songs to the woman of my dreams. Right now, I do a great job singing in the shower! I'd like to learn to read music and play the guitar and keyboard I have sitting in my closet. And maybe be able to put some of the romantic poems I have written to music. There I said it...That was a very deeply hidden secret.

Well since I have a job I love, my goal in life at this point is two fold. First I woud like to meet and fall in love with my best friend and finally have a happy lifetime loving relationship. Second, when I retire in a few years, I'd like to buy a larger pickup and 5th Wheel RV, travel around the country writing about the people and places I see. I'd like to explore the little known history of small towns around the country, and maybe write a few books along the way. Anybody want to join me?

To take my digital camera and metal detector into the mountains, and photograph mountain peaks, lakes, waterfalls, explore ghost towns, and photograph old buildings. I love to just sit in a quiet place overlooking a beautiful mountain lake and listen to the sounds of nature and enjoy God's great creation.
