Most profiles seem to be fairly similar, so I don't think we can be boiled down to a Compatibility Index ensuring that we find someone exactly like us that will be the one. I don't feel like that's the right answer for me. It takes both flint and steel to make sparks. Flint and flint probably are not going to start a fire. In the end it's about the chemistry, the spark.

I'm a retired engineer-entrepreneur looking to share time and interests with a compatible woman having humor and intelligence. To help that along I can fortunately find humor in practically everything, including myself.

While not necessarily looking for the last love of my life, I am not afraid of commitment were a relationship to move in that direction. I love to read, watch select television, and I have a soft spot for good movies of all types. Although not as active as I used to be, I still like to be out and about, biking or beaching or whatever. I have a close relationship with my large extended family. The only TV sport I have a genuine interest in is pro football, though an NBA or MLB playoff game can get my attention.

The photos are me, though I've shed some pounds. A native Floridian, I grew up in Orlando when it was a little town of dirt roads and orange groves. My career took me around the country, but I returned home to stay in 2012. I hope to find an interesting person to start the next chapter of my life with. Overall it has been pretty good except for the loss of my wife a few years ago. Other than that I have few complaints, even with some bumps along the way.
