Jeg beskriver mig selv som

An ordinary gal with strong opinions,convictions and values who respects those qualities in others. I lead a quiet life with occasional bursts of spontaneity and adventure-seeking. Retired, I can be found working on various projects including crocheting, sewing,cooking, reading, traveling, repurposing, etc. In a relationship, I love holding hands--it's pretty hard to argue or be upset with someone when you're holding their hand! I dislike fighting, arguing (though sometimes it's unavoidable); arrogance, prejudice, whining, self-involvement. Listening, communicating, a love of family and nature, a calm demeanor, a sense of humor, respect for others are all qualities I admire. I have a positive attitude, understand that decades of experience and knowledge, good and bad, are what make me who I am, which is a well-adjusted, content, and self-reliant (albeit, slightly wacky) woman.

One that was comfortable and low-key for both of us, after first getting to know each other for awhile. A casual, quiet setting that would minimize as much anxiety as possible. (Obviously, I'm expecting to be nervous!)

Anything involving my family; going to thrift stores, garage sales, wandering in the desert looking for treasures; traveling anywhere in the country; creating something useful from found treasures, camping; sharing experiences, ideas, and space with someone compatible; losing myself in writing, crafting, finding pleasure in even the most mundane of experiences, driving.

Someone who is secure in their own beliefs, values, abilities and vulnerabilities. Strong enough to consider and respect other opinions, ideas and flaws. Honors his past, but doesn't live in it. Can be flexible and is willing to share rather than delegate. Someone who can find contentment in his own interests and space, as well as mutual activities and time spent with his partner. Someone who is NOT looking for a mother, a maid or a nurse; although at our ages, one who understands that health issues and just plain old age is something we all will experience in our not too distant future. That said, caregiving or receiving is most likely an important part of any relationship.
