Age is just a number - attitude is everything. Am high energy, barely 50, don't feel it. I need fun, balance, and harmony in my life. I love my job, work hard, want to enjoy spare time and relax, too.

Just returned to KY in November '08 after 30 years in PA. Was married 25+ years, divorced for 2. Am building new life here. I have gone out alone, but enjoy doing things with someone compatible more. Being alone is better than being with the wrong person, but being with the right person is better than being alone. Not looking to be joined at hip 24 - 7, should have some separate interests, but sharing each other's most important ones creates a special bond. Who I'm with has always been more important than what I'm doing. I value friendships highly, and want to hold on to the ones I left behind in PA, while making new ones here.

Have always been caretender by nature, and enjoy giving of my time and energy to those I love. Want someone who will respond in kind. Am affectionate, hugging, snuggling, back-rubbing, very physical person. True romance has nothing to do with jewelry, expensive flowers, fancy chocolates, etc. It's in the little things, like sleeping in on weekends, having someone cook for me, helping me with dishes/chores, snuggling on the couch watching TV or a movie, good music and a glass of wine in front of a fireplace, etc...

Am very verbal, but am also a good listener. I'm a smart blonde (not an oxymoron) and an extremely sociable person - approachable, outgoing, extremely flexible, and comfortable in most any situation - sporting event, family dinner, special occasion, business dinner, or holding your hand in a crisis. Seeking similar attributes in a partner.

Life's too short to worry about things out of our control, and negative people are very draining to be around. I am optimistic about life, love, and happiness, and want someone to share those things with me.

Am Activity Coordinator at a premiere skilled health care & rehab center - LOVE IT! Am very attached to my residents - treat them with as much love and respect as I would my own relatives, and I look forward to work every day. I'm very lucky to be able to say that!

Meeting for lunch, dinner, coffee, a drink, or dessert someplace quiet enough for conversation and getting to know each other, but not so intimate as to put on romantic pressure. An event having something to do with shared interests would also be good, as long as there is some conversation time.

singing with group or partner, whether it's a vocal jazz ensemble, a big band, swing band, or in a club with a good accompanist. Love music, making harmony. If I won lottery, would keep day job that I love, but would open a warm, relaxed piano bar with a couple of good musicians and hire folks to manage it for me.

Am quite fond of Homemade I.C. & Pie Kitchen as well. Love music/making harmony. Love most music, especially standards from 20's-60's, and James Taylor, Eagles, etc. from 70's on. Love to read - don't get much time these days. TV - also like 24, NCIS, Seinfeld. Am fond of sweets, esp. pie, and slow sipping on Southern Comfort. Post-divorce, I discovered that I enjoy trying new things - like football, ice hockey, volleyball, gymnastics; movies/tv in front of fireplace;antique/sports car events; flea markets;volunteering;spending time w/very good friends.
Am loving all the Derby Festivities!

Want to find folks who share my values & interests - Family and friends are a priority. Long term, want special someone to kiss goodbye in the morning and come home to at the end of the day - marriage not required. Have always been caretender by nature, and enjoy giving of my time and energy to those I love. Want someone who will respond in kind. I am not materialistic, but I need someone who is fiscally-responsible, able to prioritize, and live within your means. Prefer someone who is good communicator, conversationalist. Want to learn about you without feeling like I'm pulling teeth to get a response other than yes or no.
