Hello…my name is Dave. I am a self employed licensed barber. This is a second career for me. I was in the construction industry for 30 years. When I got divorced we sold the house so I had the freedom to pursue something different. I am proud of my shop and I am proud of the business I have built. It is great to set my own standards and treat people the way I think they should be treated. I love giving a customer more than what they expect. I look forward to opening my shop every day.
From what I have observed I guess I am a little different from most men. I really enjoy treating a lady like a lady i.e.: opening doors for them, opening car doors, helping her with her coat, etc. I am looking forward to doing these for someone special.
What do I look for in a woman?? I am attracted to a woman who is self-confident and knows what she wants, has a great sense of humor and likes PDAs. Personality is a big deal to me (a good one), and someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously.
What do I do with my leisure time you ask?? After a hard workweek I like to dine out Friday or Saturday evening with pleasant company. Some of my favorite places are Red Lobster, Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden or a mom & pop bar for a greasy burger. When I was younger I played basketball and softball quite a bit but I had to find something that I didn’t hurt doing. So I took up golf several years ago and now I play a couple times a week. I would love a partner who liked golf also. I love watching a good movie at the theater or at home. And I like taking the dog for a walk, I try to walk at least a couple miles 3 times a week.
Being a father of three, so much of my adult life was centered on the family and I paid very little attention to what I liked or what I wanted to do. That has been a hard habit to drop, so I am still trying to discover the things I like to, want to, and might want to do. There are many activities that sound like fun but not by myself.
There are a couple views about a relationship that I feel strongly about. A good relationship should be a give and take proposition, such as going to see a movie you want to see and next going to see one your partner wants to see. Or for the right person I would take dance lessons and it would be nice to take an interest in something I like to do. Last but not least, I enjoy being romantic and I like to be romanced.
There many more subjects to converse about and I am looking forward to talking with you and discovering what makes you special.
