I have a good sense of humor-- it really makes life enjoyable! I can hang with just about any crowd or be happy staying at home. My friends say I am non-judgmental, open-minded, patient, honest, dependable, and a good listener. I'm educated and very much enjoy living a more simple life-- and looking for that in my friends.

I enjoy the beach when it's quieter, the ocean when it's clear and deep, a fantastic sunset over ocean or mountain (or even on the way home from work), stars in a clear night sky, and relaxing in front of a roaring fire.

When we initially meet it would be very nice to get coffee at a local bookstore and be able to chat awhile. Next time, maybe lunch or dinner and some activity like a museum, movie, or something active. Totally your choice there, I'd be up for just about anything that would allow us to talk and get to know each other better.

Jeg har altid villet prøve

I'd love to hike parts of the Appalachian Trail, or really anything mildly to moderately active would be nice-- canoeing, kayaking, etc. Week-end getaways to new places with great scenery would be nice too. I guess you can see that I'm looking to get outside my comfort zone here.

Mit mål i livet er

I teach chemistry at a small university. Though I am passionate about my work it's not my whole life. My hours are flexible and often change from one semester to another, leaving me time and energy for many other things. I plan on continuing to work for, hopefully, many more years.

Most recently I have completed a "Biggest Loser" program where I work. I have lost 31 pounds and 36 inches and found a new love of working out. I would hope to find enthusiasm and encouragement for this new found pleasure in my friends that results in their participation with me (at least occasionally). My goal here is to continue this program.

I'm pretty eclectic here-- love to spend time in the mountains and at the beach and do so 3-4 times a year. Also love to find and experience new restaurants and activities that I've never done. I love to stay active, but also enjoy quiet meals and quiet times at home.
