While I’m not opposed to flying solo to a restaurant or hotel, it does come with its drawbacks. If you answer the host/hostess with “Table for one”, they eagerly offer a seat at the bar. Maybe they are looking out for me, thinking I would be pointed at and whispered about; or irritate bigger parties by sitting at a table with five empty chairs. I can’t ask an empty chair “so honey what are you having” and no one will say “my treat”. Hotel single occupancy means my choice of who to share a beautiful sunset with is either the room service person delivering my meal (50-50 on the right gender) or maintenance finally arriving to fix that faucet drip.
So I am here to eliminate those drawbacks and be offered the cozy romantic booth with the man standing right next to me. My double occupant is caught up in that sunset with me, hoping maintenance does not show up at all.
You will find me to be warm, welcoming and funny.
