En ideel første date ville være

Meeting at the beach, at dusk, to walk and talk a little in an effort to get comfortable with one another. Ideally, there will be a cozy, ethnic restaurant close by where we can try something entirely new and unfamiliar; this will be a shared experience. After dinner, we might go and listen to a classical music performance (violin, cello, piano, or even classical guitar). It would be perfect if the venue were outdoor. Of course, we can't talk while the music is being performed, but the listening provides a break from the possibility of trying too hard to impress one another. The setting should be conducive to closeness without a cloying expectation. I believe, by the time the music ends, we will have an intuitive understanding of whether a connection exists or not.
