I Would Describe Myself As

Life's been good to me despite some ups and downs but who among us hasn't experienced the unexpected? I think of myself as having been blessed with good genes and good health. Still work part time as an educator and enjoy doing most of the activities similar to others on this site, theater/movies, good food/wine, interesting conversation/friends, etc. etc. etc. To complete the mix, I have 3 wonderful grandsons and family within 2 hours away. I would say I am an optimistic romantic (with a good sense of humor) who is searching for that special someone. I am down-to-earth and can enjoy a fun filled evening out on the town just as well as a quiet one watching a movie on the sofa. So, if you are a cheerful, easy going gentleman with a variety of interests and find any of this appealing, please write. We probably have a lot to share.

Great relationships vary from couple to couple, but above all, I think there has to be a "spark" or some type of "chemistry" from the very beginning to make it work. You have to enjoy each other's company and the banter or playfulness going on between the two of you, no matter what you are doing, in order to make it fun and fulfilling. People don't have to have the same exact interests. They just have to show some interest in the other person's passions.
