I started working at age 16 then was a caregiver for my mother until she died when I was 24. From there I have taken care of my disabled sister who has severe rheumatoid arthritis and is wheelchair bound. Between college, caregiving and work I haven't had much time for socializing. My sister has a caregiver who comes in 4 days a week in the afternoon and I decided to use that time to meet new people.

I love to read. I have a novel that I'm working on and used to write occasional political columns for the Coeur d'Alene Press. That lead to my being recruited as an opposition researcher for two candidates. I like to read about current events, history, the sciences, science fiction and fantasy. Movies are one of my passions.

I may not be a gourmet chef, but I can put together a tasty meal. I like Mexican food, East Asian, Deli and am torn between Roger's and Hudson's hamburgers as the best in town.
