I am a vibrant 63 year old female that is still very young at heart. I live in Hope Mills and retired from NC Dept. of Transportation in July 2012. I enjoyed my work immensely, as well as the wonderful group of people that I worked with. My children are grown & married; but are still a very vital part of my life, as well as my two grandchildren whom are teens now. I am generally a very happy & optimistic individual. I like most sports, absolutely love the outdoors and warm sunshine. I love all types of music, except rap; especially love beach music! I am also a motorcyclist & enjoy various riding functions & making new acquaintances. I am a little shy & cautious at first, but once I have the perception that I'm in satisfactory safe company, I open up. I smile a lot and laugh often. Why not?! Life is good. God is great! And each new day that He gives us is a gift to do with as we will. I believe that the way you live your day is a sentence in the story of your life. And each day you make the choice whether the sentence ends with a period, question mark, or exclamation point. Thus, I try hard, to embrace every single day in this... the autumn of my life, and I enjoy it as much as I can. At this time in my life my goal is simply to be actively engaged in life. I awake each morning with enthusiasm and gratitude for my blessings. And I never give up. You have to work at keeping happy, healthy and active. And good health permitting, who says you have to put a cap on adventure?

Outward looks are important , but by no means are the most important quality about oneself. Inner beauty... genuine goodness & personality are also equal attributes that I am seeking in a companion. I am looking for someone who also thinks that life is amazing. I prefer to be around happy, witty, fun-loving people. The person that would catch my eye & hold my attention would be the type that is inspiring in his thoughts & caring in his heart. He would have the amazing knack of making me laugh even when I don't want to; and also, the quality of reassuring me simply through his smile. I can get my head turned by a good-looking guy as much as the next girl, but sexy doesn’t impress me. Smart impresses me, strength of character impresses me. And most of all, I am impressed by kindness. And when I see that in someone, my heart is filled with admiration.
