WM widower seeking special woman for close friend/wife/partner (you decide) after 51 years of happy, faithful marriage to special, loving woman lost to leukemia in 2013. Grew up in 12 mostly small towns from PA to SC & in between, always meeting new people. Worked 33 years for private, non-profit foundation (as "computer guy"), now retired. I enjoy close family, many friends, laughing with others (not at others-except myself), but serious as needed, helping others feel better about themselves, outdoors, camping, hiking, traveling, life itself. I am easy-going, tolerant, flexible, positive, self-supporting (not loaded – still pick up pennies laying on the ground), have simple tastes, always curious, wanting to learn, looking for new adventures. Enjoy good health, average build-5'6"/160 lbs, never smoked, walk 5-10 mi/week, a little jogging, drink only socially (not at home) depending on food available & if I'm driving. Interested in environment, climate change, preservation of wildlife. Visited most states, some other countries. Come enjoy & share life together (It's more fun that way).

En ideel første date ville være

Anything we could enjoy together. Time to talk and get to know each other. Sharing a meal, a show, a tour of somewhere new, taking a walk near the lake or on a trail enjoying the fresh air, driving around the countryside, swinging in a porch swing together, laying on a blanket in a field watching the clouds go by, walking along Church Street in Burlington, stopping to get an ice cream cone - all sorts of possibilities. Just so we did it together.

Jeg har altid villet prøve

Anything new, but not dangerous or harmful to us or anyone else. Something that you are interested in but I haven't tried. I'm not particular; Am easy to please. Have hiked on the Appalachian Trail several times, but not recently. Always wanted to complete the entire trail in a number of outings. That would be rewarding. Since I'm fairly new to VT, maybe hike some of the Long Trail.

PS: Sometimes the "multiple choice" questions on a sight like this do not fit "you." Wish they had more "write-in" spaces.

Be happy, help others to feel the same. Stay as healthy as I can by choice of living style. Learn about what makes the world and all animals, including we "funny humans," tick. Why do we do the things that we do? What are our incentives? Why do humans try to be "good?; To do to others as we would have them do to us. When we support others, they support us. It's really the best & most effective way for humans to live.

Hvad leder du efter?

Mildly "flirtatious" is good. Important to me are trust, respect, good communications & easy to talk to, honesty, kindness, sincerity, positive outlook, easy natural smile (warm & sincere, not pretentious). No one with such a smile could ever be called "unattractive." Not looking for "Good Looks" in the sense of "glamourous"; Just a beautiful personality. Will accept any race, faith, ethnicity, mid 50s to 70s, preferably retired or close to it. Concerning "Committed" and/or "Intimate" (see below), these are not things I would expect at the beginning of a relationship; They may be part of the relationship later depending on how the relationship develops. Was advised by someone trained in "Senior" dating that as we get older our bodies age but our brains retain the values we formed in early years. I'm sure any woman anywhere near my age who is reading this understands what I'm saying.
