My closest friends describe me as self-confident, funny, and compassionate. I've got a good sense of humor and have been blessed with the ability to laugh at myself, which has served me well. It's important to me that the man in my life also has a good sense of humor.
What catches my eye when I first meet a man, are his eyes and his smile. For me, his eyes are the windows to his soul and a warm smile can take my breath away as it welcomes me into his space.
I like a man who is outgoing, self-confident, and doesn't mind taking charge, yet is not controlling. I believe that mutual respect, honesty, fidelity, love and affection are integral to a solid relationship.
I appreciate all the little things a man does for me. Whether it's putting a key on my key chain so I won't break my nails, helping me put the groceries away, big points for this one, his telling me I look great, or buying flowers for me now and then, even if they are from the grocery store. To me, these are things that come from the heart and tell me, that he cares very much about me.
I enjoy an occasional dinner out, movies, live theater, musicals and an occasional symphony, but I also truly like staying home watching a movie with my special man, cuddled up to him.
I delight in cooking for my significant other, and ... I have a special spot in my heart for a guy who doesn't mind taking over and cooking for me once in a while.
Occasional weekend getaways are great. I believe they give the relationship a boost whether it needs it or not.
Being retired, my time is divided between family, friends, reading, gardening and whatever comes up. I enjoy doing a lot of things, but for me, it's not so much what I'm doing that gives me the most pleasure, but rather who I'm doing it with.
